There is a wealth of things to do in the area be it walking, riding, visiting historical sites or simply visiting the many ‘White’ villages of the area and investigating numerous tapas bars. It would not be surprising however if you might choose to relax by the pool and enjoy the charm and comfort of the property in this unparalleled peaceful valley. Location: La Dehesa is located at only a 15 minutes drive of the old town of Ronda, full of cultural heritage of the Moors, Romans and Christians. Ronda is only 90 minutes per car away from Malaga airport, 45 minutes from Marbella, 120 minutes from Seville airport, so it is easy to reach. Surrounding area: Ronda has a lively city centre, with many shops, museums, the famous bullring, Moorish palaces, gardens and the very picturesque Puente Nuevo. The Moorish baths are the oldest remaining in Europe and well worth a visit. |

| Ronda can be visited all year around. The climate is normally good, even in winter. Highlights are the Easter celebrations with processions and the Feria in early September. Stunning mountains, natural parks like Grazalema, Lake Zahara, Sierra Las Nieves etc. and beautiful typical “white villages” surround Ronda. You will find lots of wild life, like fox, wild boar, deer, eagle, hawk (you will see a number of hawk nests right from your bedroom) and vultures. There are also many rare species of smaller birds in the valleys and mountains. In less than 2 hours you can visit the famous cities of Granada (Alhambra), Seville and Cordoba. On the other side you can visit the beach in Marbella (jet set), Tarifa (wind surfing) or visit Gibraltar and even Morocco in an easy day’s trip. |
