| Located at the top of a hill, overlooking the valley all the way from Casarabonela up to the distant coast, Villa La Era is an exclusive venue in a very private setting. Villa La Era is surrounded by the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve. A wonderful area to explore on foot or on horseback. The panoramic views from the house and its terraces are breathtaking. |

| The nearby village of Casarabonela is one of the typical unspoilt Pueblos Blancos (White Villages). Life in the village is as it has been for many years, a place as authentic as can be. Casarabonela has plenty of restaurants and shops. |

| Although only half an hour drive to several lovely unspoilt beaches of the Mediterranean coast and slightly more to Malaga airport, this is pure inland Andalucía. |

| The house is named after the old Era (Spanish for threshing area) situated next to the house. Here you will experience the real Spain in a comfortable setting. |

| Villa La Era is an estate with lots of character and typical Andalusian charm. Its gardens are carefully designed and well maintained. From the pool area a winding path leads up the hill to a Mirador from where you have wonderful views over the whole surrounding area. The views from the house over the sloping Guadalhorce Valley, to the distant mountain peaks of the Sierra de las Nieves and the lovely town of Casarabonela are breathtaking. |

| The pool area is set a bit aside the house. This is a lovely sheltered spot, surrounded by trees providing both shelter from the wind and shade for the warmer days. Here are plenty of sun beds and sunshades, also pool towels are provided. |

| The estate has a comfortable sitting room with a large open fireplace. This is a bright and airy room, lovely decorated in a classic style. It has comfortable couches and chairs and has several seating areas to enable the guests to talk, read or write. The house has full central heating, making this a comfortable venue for all seasons. |

| A separate comfortable TV- room is available. It has satellite TV, DVD and CD player. There is a small library of fiction and non-fiction books and there are some toys. The house has wireless broadband internet access. Air-conditioning is available, however please note that if you like to use this the cost is charged separately. |

| Villa La Era offers a fully fitted professional kitchen. It has 4 ring stove, oven, grill, fridge, freezer, microwave, dish washer and all smaller appliances you could think off like cooking utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, plenty of china and glassware. There is also a washing machine and clothes dryer, iron & board. Next to the kitchen there is a large dining room with an open fire. Doors open to the dining terrace, with amazing views over the valley to the village of Casarabonela. |

| The house has nine double bedrooms. Each bedroom is named after one of the nine white towns which form part of the Community of Sierra de las Nieves. They have all been decorated in a different style and colour setting, adding to the personal feel of the house. All bedrooms have been carefully decorated with many are original oil paintings, engravings, antiques and artefacts. |

| All bedrooms have individualized air conditioning and heating. All rooms have a safe. Each room has its own terrace or balcony with spectacular views onto the Guadalhorce Valley and the village of Casarabonela. |

| All of the bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom. The bathrooms have a full luxury bath and many additional accessories such as magnifying mirror or hair dryer. Taken as a whole Villa La Era is a perfect venue for a large family or group of friends, who like to explore the many interesting sights of the area, the stunning nature, or simply relax a the pool with an amazing view. |

| Location: Villa La Era is is situated a couple of miles down a rural track at a ten minutes drive from the village of Casarabonela. Generally any regular rental car is fine but sometimes in the winter it may be recommended to hire a 4x4, please ask our advice. It is a 40 minutes drive to Malaga airport. Casarabonela is a whitewashed village that retains all the charm of a traditional Moorish village. You can find all that you need in the shops in Casarabonela, fresh vegetables, meat, fish, bread, as well as a chemist and a couple of banks and plenty of places to eat tapas and good local food. |

| Surrounding area: Several totally unspoilt beaches are approximately half an hour drive, in the Malaga area. You will find many fantastic beachside fish restaurants to choose from. Also the old town of Malaga is really worthwhile. The covered market and the Picasso museum are wonderful. If you like to visit Marbella or Puerto Banus: those are less than an hour drive. Definitely go to see a show of flamenco dance and music on a late summer evening. There are a number of golf courses on the coast. Two are within 40 mins, Lauro Golf and Alhaurin Golf, both near Alhaurin el Grande. many other activities are at hand, like walking, riding, swimming, canoeing, aquaparks or quad biking. |

| You can easily make visits to other Pueblos Blancos (white villages) nearby and have a taste of the cultural heritage of the area. The extensive Natural Parks in the area vary from lovely valleys to rough rocky mountains, just now and then dotted with some picturesque white villages. Lovely are the Lakes of El Chorro, only half an hour drive. |
