Casa El Pajar
A cosy, rustic cottage in the valley La Ribera, one of the most beautiful areas in Grazalema Natural Park. An extremely secluded place, surrounded by an olive grove bordered by a little stream. At only a ten minutes drive from the whitewashed village of Grazalema and half an hour to famous Ronda. Extremely private and peaceful, a perfect place for walking in the Park, or cocooning by the pool.
2-4 persons
Casa El Pajar is an utterly cosy cottage in the heart of the Grazalema natural Park.
It is so peaceful, you would almost forget that the whitewashed village of Grazalema, with its busy central square with many tapas bars and restaurants, is only seven kilometres away.
The bells of sheep or goats, the barking of a dog or braying of a donkey will be the only sounds disturbing the utter silence in this valley.

The property has been carefully decorated, all is very rustic. You will find all the basic elements, like dark wooden beams and terracotta floors. Even the quilts are handmade.
You enter the house directly into the living -dining area with open plan kitchen. It has an open fireplace, couch and two small children’s chairs in style. The wooden dining table seats four.
You will find lovely corners to sit and relax everywhere, to read a book or just stare out at the breathtaking views.

The rustic open plan kitchen and the equipment is basic, yet functional in all aspects.
It has a sink, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave. |

There is a double bedroom (with Spanish double beds, these are smaller than the usual Northern European ones) and a twin bedroom.
Next to the double bedroom is a bathroom with basin, shower and toilet.

The orchard surrounding Casa El Huerto is a lovely area to stroll around. Apart from the olive trees, it has many different fruit trees, the fruit of which you may eat if ripe during your stay.
The owner will occasionally provide you with some fresh vegetables from the organic vegetable garden (huerto). You may even see some sheep on the land.
At the lower end is the lovely little stream that borders the land. |
|
|
At the other end of the barbecue area lies another, larger house, Casa El Huerto. During the year you can rent either Casa El Huerto or Casa El Pajar. When one is rented, the other one will be closed to guarantee your complete privacy.
In high season you can only rent both of them together. El Huerto has three double/twin bedrooms, thus the combined property sleeps up to ten guests. |
