La Casita

Hidden at the top of a picturesque whitewashed village we found the romantic cottage La Casita. This is a truly authentic Spanish cottage, redecorated with great taste and an eye to detail. You will love the shaded terrace, overlooking the village and giving an incredible view of the Grazalema Natural Park across the valley.

When you enter La Casita it feels as if no one has ever touched it…as authentic as can be.

It is an old cottage, carefully restored without impairing its identity.

The abundantly flowering Bougainvillea over the entrance gives you a warm welcome.

Everything about this cottage is bright, friendly and utterly romantic.

On the roof you will find a shaded terrace.

This is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the stunning view of the peaks of the beautiful Grazalema Natural Park.

When you enter the cottage through the main entrance, you are immediately in the cosy living room.

It has several comfortable chairs, and an authentic wood-burning stove for the colder evenings.

The kitchen is typical Andaluz, basic, but you will find all you need.

The main bedroom has a double bed.

The decoration is warm and cosy.

For occasional use there is a second twin bedroom.

Location:

La Casita is situated in a small village with lots of flowers and water all over the place. The people in this village are extremely friendly.

In the village you will find basic facilities, such as a bakery, two small supermarkets, a post office and a bank. There are a few restaurants/tapaz bars, and many more in Ronda.

From Ronda it is about 15 minutes by car to La Casita. Ronda has all facilities. It is 90 minutes to the airports of Malaga, Jerez or Seville and less than 60 minutes to the beaches of the Mediterranean coast.

Surroundings:

Apart from the truly stunning scenery around Ronda (Serrania de Ronda, Sierra de las Nieves, Park of Grazalema, Zahara lake etc.), there are numerous remains of ancient civilizations in the area, including some of Europe’s most beautiful cave painting in the Cueva de la Pileta.

Ronda’s spectacular Puente Nuevo spans the deep canyon that divides Ronda’s old and ‘new’ quarters, and there are Moorish palaces, Renaissance mansions and Andalusia’s best preserved Arab baths. Within a 2 hour drive are Seville, Granada and Cordoba. And close to Ronda are a series of enchanting ‘white villages’ clinging to spectacular mountain locations. An easy drive away from La Casita are good beaches and golf courses. Even a day trip to Morocco is possible from Tarifa on the Fast Ferry, which crosses the Strait in just 40 minutes.
