Rondavels, located in a delightful forested area close to Ronda, is a surprise to every visitor. The house consists of two detached octagonal houses (Rondavel), originating from South Africa.
Enclosed by a wall, it provides a perfect romantic hide away with ultimate privacy and intimacy. Rondavels is constructed from natural and organic materials and are decorated with ideas and materials collected by the owners during their trips around the world. |

You arrive through a protected gate and a road through the forest.
Rondavels is a guesthouse from a larger house located on the same 200.000 m2 plot. The size of the land guarantees total privacy.
The land is full of old oak and olive trees and Mediterranean shrubs. The owner has been landscaping the estate over the years. She has created a gorgeous garden, growing all kinds of trees and plants from all over the world. There is even a true waterfall.

Rondavels has been enclosed by an impressive wall of local stones, so that on one side you have undisturbed views on the valley and the mountains from the house and the pool, but on the other side you are hidden from views from anyone else.
Absolute discretion and a perfect place for a (second?) honeymoon.
As soon as the doors of Rondavels are opened, a stunning view of the sun deck, pool, forest and the valley opens up. |

One Rondavel houses a luxurious bedroom with a king size double bed. |
|
|
There is an en-suite bathroom with massage shower and toilet and a large cloak room.
Both are en-suite with the bedroom. |

Both Rondavels have folding windows which give a sense of living in the open air.
This is a delightful experience during the fragrant warm Andalusian nights.

In the other Rondavel you find the kitchen and the sitting/dining room.
The sitting room is spacious and comfortably furnished.
There is a dining table for four, for those occasionally chilly days, that you might prefer to dine indoors.
The decoration is stylish. All the paintings in the house were done by the owner. |

Rondavels have a fully fitted kitchen. It includes a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
On arrival you will have a bottle of French champagne and everything you need for a delicious breakfast in the fridge.
With air-conditioning for both cooling and heating in both houses, it is a gorgeous place for visits throughout the year.

From every angle you have great views over the pool to the Ronda valley.
The infinity plunge pool opens up the horizon, with a great sense of space and peace.
This is the ultimate place to relax. |

Surroundings:
Apart from the truly stunning scenery around Ronda (Serrania de Ronda, Sierra de las Nieves, Park of Grazalema, Zahara lake etc.), there are numerous remains of ancient civilizations in the area, including some of Europe’s most beautiful cave painting in the Cueva de la Pileta.
Ronda’s spectacular Puente Nuevo spans the deep canyon that divides Ronda’s old and ‘new’ quarters, and there are Moorish palaces, Renaissance mansions and Andalusia’s best preserved Arab baths.
Within a 2 hour drive are Seville, Granada and Cordoba. And close to Ronda are a series of enchanting ‘white villages’ clinging to spectacular mountain locations. An easy drive away from Rondavels are good beaches and golf courses. Even a day trip to Morocco is possible from Tarifa on the Fast Ferry, which crosses the Strait in just 40 minutes.
