Las Amoladeras
Perched on a hill overlooking the lake of Zahara Las Amoladeras offers a very private retreat. The views from its terraces and from the pool are breathtaking. Its location in the Ronda area gives ample opportunity to explore the many interesting cultural sites and famous Natural Parks in the area. A great place to relax for a couple or a small family.

| This very private property lies on a hill, amidst olive trees and oaks, overlooking the wonderful lake of Zahara. The area around the house is planted with flowering shrubs and fragrant herbs. From the house stairs lead down to the large pool with a spacious decking all around. It has a shallow area for children. It has inviting lounge chairs. Large umbrellas provide shade, the rest of the terrace is perfect for sun bathing. There is an outdoor shower. |

| Las Amoladeras takes its name from the rocks that you can find on the land: here there are a lot of the rocks that in the old days were used to sharpen knives. The more than 40.000 m2 private land guarantee lots of privacy. The surrounding fields are full of wildlife, with a huge variety of wild flowers in Spring. This is a very secluded place; it is only a ten minutes drive from the nearest village though. |

| From the pool area you have breathtaking views over the lake to the village of Zahara on top of a mountain on the other end of the lake and its ancient castle on top and to the Grazalema Natural Park behind it. To the front of the house you will find a lovely covered terrace with a barbecue and an outdoor dining table and chairs for al fresco dining. |

| There are several lounge chairs with cushions to enjoy the sun and the breathtaking views. The lake is amazingly beautiful, and the constant changes with the light of the day are fascinating. The location is very private and peaceful. This is an ideal base for day trips to places like Ronda, Granada, and Seville. |

| The living/dining room has comfortable couches and an open fireplace. The house has full central heating and full air-conditioning. There is TDT and DVD. There is also a music system throughout the whole house. The house has WIFI. |

| The room has large sliding doors, offering great views on the lake. In a corner is a lovely quiet seating area to read a book, or sit a bit aside and have a drink. |

| In between the sitting area and the kitchen is a large wooden dining table easily seating six. There is plenty of china, glasses, cutlery, saucepans and cooking gear. |

| The kitchen is fully equipped with four ring hob, microwave, refrigerator-freezer and dishwasher. It also has a washing machine. In the corner is a dining table seating four. From the kitchen you have the same gorgeous view over the lake. |

| On the ground floor a hallway leads to two bedrooms that share a bathroom. There is a double bedroom at one end, and a single bedroom at the other. The single bed has another bed hidden underneath that can be pulled out and makes a good second single bed. |

| The double bedroom is spacious. It has a small double bed, with bedside tables on both sides. It has a large wardrobe to keep your belongings. |

| The shared bathroom is located in between these two rooms. The spacious bathroom has a shower, toilet, bidet and lavatory. |

| Upstairs you will find the romantic master bedroom. It is very spacious and has a cosy double bed. The master bedroom has double doors opening to a private terrace overlooking the lake. |

| The master bedroom has its own private en-suite bathroom. The spotless bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, bidet and lavatory. |

| Next to the master bedroom is a spacious private sitting area. The couch can occasionally be used as an extra bed. |

| Taken as a whole Las Amoladeras is a wonderful welcoming holiday home for a family. It is definitely also perfect for a couple though, who appreciate space, privacy and gorgeous views. A lovely place to relax and enjoy by the magnificent pool, or to use as base from where to explore the marvellous Natural Parks or the many cultural treasures of the area. |

| Location: This fabulous country house is situated app. 30 minutes from the famous town of Ronda. Ronda has all facilities For the last bit it is reached by car on a cemented track. The track is steep and has one turn where you have to be careful, but it is perfectly passable with a standard rental car. It is one and a half hour drive to the airports of Jerez and Seville, and two hours to the airport of Malaga. At a ten minutes drive is the friendly whitewashed village of El Gastor, with some small local shops and restaurants. |

| Surrounding area: This part of Andalucia is famous for its many cultural sites and for its beautiful Natural Parks with an incredible amount of uncommon bird species and wild flowers. The scenery around Ronda is stunning (Serrania de Ronda, Sierra de las Nieves, Park of Grazalema, Zahara lake etc.). It is a paradise for walking, exploring, riding and bird watching. There are numerous remains of ancient civilizations in the area. Ronda is famous for its spectacular Puente Nuevo that spans the deep canyon that divides Ronda’s old and ‘new’ quarters, and there are Moorish palaces, Renaissance mansions and Andalusia’s best preserved Arab baths. In the area you will find numerous remains of ancient civilizations. You can easily make a day trip to Seville or Cadiz, but even Granada and Cordoba would be possible. It is a one hour drive to the beaches of the Mediterranean coast. |
