Los Algarrobos
At an absolutely stunning location, set in the foothills below the picturesque whitewashed village of Gaucin, the Spanish owners of Los Algarrobos have built this friendly home. It overlooks the wooded countryside from the rolling hills up to the coastal area and Africa beyond. A secluded retreat, yet at only a five minutes drive to the nearest village. A perfect place to get away from it all, to discover the area, or to relax by the fabulous pool.

| Los Algarrobos is a very peaceful place, the house and its grounds being completely surrounded by National Parkland. Directly from the grounds you can make great walks throughout the wooded hills all around. From its gorgeous pool area and from the terraces you have stunning views over the whole coastal area and even towards Africa. |

| The house is at a five minutes drive from the nearest village with some shops and restaurants, and at a ten minutes drive from Gaucin, a typical example of the famous \'white villages’ (Los Pueblos Blancos). It is only 30 minutes from the Costa del Sol with it’s lovely sandy beaches and its many golf courses. The historic towns of Ronda, Jerez of even Seville can easily be visited on a day trip by car. |

| You will love to return to this peaceful place after a day of exploring the area. Have swim in the pool, or relax at the small terrace in front of the main living are – always with this amazing view. On a clear day you can see the Riff mountains of Africa in the distance, and the explicit form of Gibraltar is easy to recognise. |

| The living area has two comfortable sofas, an open fire, and doors opening to the small terrace. During the cooler months upon arrival some wood for the fireplace will be provided. It has satellite TV and a CD player. |

| Next to the living area is a wooden dining table that comfortably seats six. It is adjacent to the open plan kitchen. |

| The kitchen is fully fitted. It has a double sink, four ring hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and even a dishwasher. From all details it shows that the owners have taken great care in arranging it all as well as possible for you. |

| A door leading off the living area leads to the main double bedroom. It has been carefully decorated, with a romantic bedspread and curtains in warm red. It has doors opening to a small terrace, with a view over the area and up to Africa. |

| Next to it is a twin bedded room. You will find plenty of space for your belongings. Double doors open to a view of the pool area. You can rent only the ‘main house’, however if you need more space another twin bedded room is just around the corner. All beds have good quality mattresses. A cot is available upon request. |

| The bedrooms all have their own en-suite bathroom. The one next to the double bedroom has a bath with shower over, the twin bedded rooms have one with a shower only. All is fresh and clean, with many surprising details expressing care and attention. |

| In case you might travel with a larger group, adjoining is another self-contained apartment. This is only rented out in combination with the main part of the house, if you do not need it, it will stay vacant. It has it’s a romantic double bedroom, with double doors opening to a small terrace with the view on Africa. It has a bathroom with bath with shower over. There is a living room and a kitchen with hob, microwave and fridge. |

| The owners live in the lower part of the house; they are well aware of your need for privacy. They have separated both parts of the house carefully. Thus you will hardly notice that there is a another part of the house and anyone living in it. A small path leads from the house down to the pool area, which is located to the side of the house. Also the pool area is completely sheltered from the view of the owners and is not overlooked by other houses either. |

| Taken as a whole Los Algarrobos offers a peaceful retreat for a couple or a small family. Its central location amidst Natural Park grounds and many historical cities make this house a perfect base from where to explore the area. You will enjoy to return to this friendly, welcoming home in the evening. |

| Location: Los Algarrobos lies at a few kilometres from the white village of Gaucin. Gaucin has all important facilities. It is 90 minutes to the airport of Malaga, and less than 30 minutes to the beaches of the Mediterranean coast. Surroundings: Gaucin is a spectacularly beautiful mountain village commanding sweeping views to Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of north Africa. Its magnificent castle dates from the time of the Roman settlement, and was later expanded by the Arabs into a fortress. There are numerous remains of ancient civilizations in the area. Within a 2 hour drive are Seville, Granada and Cordoba. At an easy drive from Los Algarrobos are many famous beaches and golf courses. |
